Did a quick review/first impressions on this model from the Swedish microbrand Tuseno. Affordable chronograph with classic design.

Quite like the look of this. I like the train track and the lack of a tach scale.
I don’t like the fonts - too old fashioned and boring, and making the 12 and 6 bigger is not a good thing.
Also, it looks like it may have the same movements as one of my PMWs, in which case the 24 hour subdial is completely useless as it can’t be set separately from the main face time so it doesn’t provide a second time function.

Another Soviet watch, the Raketa Kopernik made in honour of Kopernikus with the hour hand representing the sun and the minute hand the moon. The textured dial finishes this rather eccentric watch. Soviet watches are often frankenwatches but as far as I'm aware this one is original with some doubt regarding the second-hand. Old catalogues show this particular version with a black one. But especially around the fall of the Soviet Union some undocumented variations were made. If someone knows more about this I'd love to hear about it!

Anyone have experience with Yema? I'm intrigued by one of their new watches that are currently in pre-sale via Kickstarter. I'm interested in the Traveller, which is 39mm. Pre-sale price is about $563 and comes with some book, which I don't care about.

Some people on Watchuseek were put off by the Wristmaster name and/or script, neither of which bother me.

Thinking about this for an integrated stainless steel sports watch. It seems ideal for me for the most part--39mm diameter, I like the case shape. I don't love the minute hand, but my SKX007's minute hand looks about the same, so it's not a deal breaker. I'd prefer no date, but since it blends with the dial color, it's not a big deal to me. I've been trying to find a watch like this that isn't a "luxury" SS sports watch with integrated bracelet for a while and doesn't cost too much. Interested in trying out the style for a while before I decide whether I want to wade into the pricier waters with something like a GP Laureato or the Chopard Alpine Eagle. I know a lot of people tout the PRX, but I just don't like the way it looks.

Here are all three of the new watches from Yema. The beige dial one is OK, not a fan of the blue.

The watch itself looks pretty good and I like the bold and readable dial markers and hands. What spoils it for me is the squiggly texted "Wristmaster". The text looks completely out of place and unsuitable on what is a clean and well designed dial. Otherwise, a nice, uncommon design.

As a brand, Yema (especially their Superman line of divers) has been getting a lot of attention in the past year and is a revived French company which was popular a few decades back.

The design is nice indeed and the overall quality is decent for the price. I like the 38 mm case size.
I have a 20% off code for this model and the same model but in 41 mm if anyone is interested.
The movement is Seiko VK64, Hybrid Mecha-Quartz.

I never had an experience with Yema watches but they are praised in the watch enthusiast community.

Tissot did a very good job with their PRX models. But it's better to try them before buying because they fit a bit larger.
