Very nice! Is the chronograph version of this watch mechanical or quartz?

Any recommendations for a good quality rectangular watch under 200?
<$200 is difficult for good quality, will mean quartz and not mechanical, but: Seiko (some even at ~$100) or Bulova should be good.

>$200 (more like $350+ - $500): Hamilton, Frederique Constant, Raymond Weil.

Used vintage: Hamilton, Oris, Eterna, Rado, maybe Omega, Longines, maybe Maurice Lacroix, but this is more just out-loud dreaming on my part...you will not find these for anywhere close to $200, more like $600-$800 if you look hard,

Search also for "tank" or "tonneau" watches rather than only "rectangular".

The ne plus ultra designs, imo, are the Jaeger-LeCoultre "Reverso" and Cartier "Tank", but those are $$$$. I would look especially hard at Hamilton new and exc+ vintage if you can increase your budget a bit, for good price/quality ratio.
