Wearing my Armand the other day reminded me what great watches they are, which got me to thinking "I should buy another one" which reminded me of the beautiful blue face j09 day date that @RogerP bought about a year ago. I found a few out there, best price $1600, then I saw the sold out Jomashop listing for $699......:brick:

That's exactly what got me off the fence with this piece. When Jomashop sells out of a given AN model, they generally don't get any more.

I decided to gather my Seiko “Scuba” team for a family photo. I love the pre Prospex "X" versions:

Another Tuna for me: the SBDX013 “Emperor” Tuna. This is my third Tuna (I currently have an old SBBN007 and the blue SBBN037 and had a spring drive SBDB009 in the past) and I picked it up in a trade. I traded my Helson Sharkmaster 1000 and quartz CWC RN MKII.

This Tuna is actually slightly bigger than the Spring Drive I had in the past but I think it actually fits a little better since the lugs are tucked away more than those on the Spring Drive. The titanium case helps things out as well.

I’d been itching for an Emperor ever since I sold my Spring Drive but was always leaning towards the gold version (SBDX014) but this is pretty fun too.

In the market now for a fitness tracker band. It seems to me the thing to do is obviously not wear it on my watch hand. But, I keep seeing people doing just that. IMO it looks like trash. Yeah bro, slap your Fitbit on the same wrist as your President Day Date. Is the world crazy, or just me?

I love the look of that SS square, and was almost tempted, but for the price I was hoping it would have more complications.

I don’t think these SS or gold square G-Shocks are worth the MSRP either. Thankfully, made a really low ball offer to an AD and they accepted it. The only other complication I’d like is the ABC feature, but I don’t know if G-Shock has that on any of their square models.

I agree with you that I don’t think I’d wear it on the same wrist as my watch no matter if it was a Rolex or a $20 beater.

I keep hoping that Casio introduces actual fitness tracking into their G-Shock line. I had a Suunto that I used while running for tracking my routes and HR and it function very well… I just didn’t like the way it looked. That said, I think the Suuntos look a lot better than the comparable Garmins (though Garmin’s style has improved over the past decade).

The Squares don't have very much to offer as far as complications though. You have to go for the tacticool models it seems, yuck.

As far as fitness trackers go, I am still researching them, but I'd like the thinnest, smallest thing possible. If one exists that doesn't even have a display at all in order to keep it slimmer, I'd actually like that.
