From a time keeping perspective, anything more expensive than a quartz timex has technically limited if any advantages by price

From an aestetic perspective, anything less than a patek is worthless.

Make purchases accordingly!

I’ve been saying for ages that the perfect travel / beach holiday watch is a diver with a GMT scale discretely marked on the flange so the dial isn’t too cluttered.

For me personally, it’s $300. After that, it’s just showing off and status symbols IMO.
