@New Shoes1 and now I'm on the Aquastar website wondering if there's any reason not to put down a $500 deposit on a blue Deepstar II, although I'd have to wait until August for delivery ?

Yours is the 37mm case size?

Yeah me too.
love the salmon dial and I like train track scales as well. Not crazy about the font but it’s not a deal breaker. What’s the brand Jazz? What’s the lime like?
The brand is Axios an offshoot of Zelos. Lume is pretty darn good.

Yes, 37 mm, but the lugs make it wear a little bigger than that. They just opened the website back up for ordering a day or two ago for the August batch. I say go for it, but I have the vintage bug when it comes to watches and love wearing this thing.

A few pro's and con's:

- The BOR bracelet is well done and probably my favorite way to wear it.
- It wears soooo comfortable due to its smaller size, which is why it finds its way on my wrist so often.
- I think the bezel is going to be a scratch magnet. I already have one really good scratch in it that I have no clue how I did it. I've had really good knocks on ceramic and sapphire bezels that left no mark, so this is definitely easier to scratch.
- The 19mm lug width is a little bit of a PITA, but I've found that many 20mm straps can be made to fit the watch. That said, I also stocked up on a few 19mm Chevron straps since they're not expensive.
- Mine is running less than 1 full second fast per day. Crazy accurate. I've heard similar stories on accuracy from others.

@Michigan Planner has the same watch and may have some thoughts on it as well.

Yeah, I think I'm going to put down a deposit. Is yours the blue dial, or gray? My phone sometimes dies weird things with darker colors. I'm thinking blue or gray, probably blue. And I would probably do the BOR bracelet as it's only $100 more than the strap. It's a super cool looking vintage no nonsense piece, and the size is intriguing.

Mine is the blue dial version, but the grey looks pretty awesome as well.

I ordered the tropic straps too and the keepers are oversized for the strap. I think they put the 20mm keepers on the 19mm strap or who knows, but, either way, you can't go wrong with the BOR.

Here are some ideas. I have a box full of spare straps. The lighting is not the best. I like it on the dark gray shark but unfortunately it's too wide. Black is not bad. I'll leave it on the bracelet for now.

Im curious to see what it looks like on a different band. All I've seen are pictures of Pathfinders on the metal bracelet
