Those IKC faces are super hard to read. The hands just get totally swallowed up.

The IK Colouring watches are definitely more of a conversation piece that a legit timepiece. I always have my iPhone if I really need to know the time, date, etc but I just think the IK watches are damn cool.

I paid $15.50-$17 per watch on DealExtreme so if they last 1 year, I'll feel like I got my money's worth. They don't even charge shipping, but you may have to wait 2-4 weeks to get your order. Apparently, they take your order, collect your items from other vendors, and then ship them. Basically, just forget you ordered the stuff and then you'll be pleasantly surprised when they arrive.

The Invicta was around $80 shipped and I'd expect that one to last a little longer. That one was an amazon.com purchase and will be here on Thursday.

I think my next watch will probably be either a Tissot or I may try to go right to a Breitling. We'll see.

Honestly I am really not a fan of skeleton watches, particularly quartz ones as it clatters the dial and ones without complications tend to be very boring to look at anyway. One that shows the tourbillon would be very interesting though, but even the cheapest of tourbillons are beyond the scope of Poor Man's thread. :(

For a leather strap project I need the the buckle and rings from a 2mm zulu or nato strap.
I don't want to by a new one just for the hardware so if you have a worn out strap let me have it for cheap.
They should be of decent quality.
    Thank you.

Fantastic!!!! I LOVE Sea-Gull so much.

I have the Sea-Gull 1963 Chronograph and I just picked up the M186S (Very similar to that! Except i went with the roman numeral face). I have a dark-honey short-grain alligator band being delivered in the next week or so from Sirtoli.. I think it's going to look fantastic. Sea-Gull M186S ($115) & Sirtoli Alligator Strap ($110 + $30 Deployment Clasp + $40 Fee for Custom Short Length) = Absolutely gorgeous watch on a custom gator band for under $300!!! You cant beat that.

    For reference:

There are a bunch of Sea-Gull watches that use this case, including my 182SK skeleton. It's a gorgeous piece of casework for an inexpensive watch, and I think it's set off perfectly by the roman numerals and guilloche dial of your watch. Congratulations.

nice seiko. you hold it upside down in the buttom pic. confused me a little about the crown placement. Is it a screw down crown?
