Most SINN watches fill me with meh, but I really like this one. I think it's the hands. And the no date. Very nice. Which model?

Yea the 556 gets a lot of flack for the short hands (mainly the hour) but honestly I like it. This is the 556 Anniversary model

Hour hand doesn't bother me at all - but then I'm used to short stubby hour hands on any number of Seikos. This one has an old school IWC vibe for me. Definitely one I would consider owning.

There are not many thousand dollar Sinns left these days, but the 556 is certainly a bargain. Sure, it's a time only ETA-powered watch, but Sinn's quality and toughness is a big selling point.

I love the hands, similar to old school pilot watches like my Stowa, and the no date and baton markers would make this is a perfect daily drive "dress" watch. That is exactly the 556 I lust after.

The great thing about a very simple pilot-inspired watch is that they are so easy to read - great for my increasingly bleary eyes!

Wait, this 'Ok' looking watch cost 1000 USD? Is it used price?
I can have SARB033 as dress watch with in-house Time/Date mvmnt, Lorenz ETA 7750 as chrono and still have money left for 3rd watch.
This watch should not cost a penny over 700 new and 350-450 used.

I have a box full of Sinn and I think the 104 is slowly becoming my favorite. Sadly, there isn't one in my box. I may need to rectify that this year.

Ooh I like those Deep Blues too - a lot of watch. Maybe that place in my life is happily filled by a Samurai for now, but.. more is more right?
