I picked up this Alpha submariner with the green bezel after seeing a similar model earlier in the forum, but consistent with many reviews I've seen, the bracelet is rickety. I was thinking of putting a dark brown leather strap on it. Opinions or better suggestions? [IMG]

Where'd you get that exact strap? I tried your search, but I just get nylon straps coming up and others that look like yours look like cheaper versions of yours.

I got it on ebay for (I think) a good price of $50. Most ones I've seen on there have the black bezel, but this one just showed up and I snagged it. Any suggestions as to what I should do to replace the bracelet?

I picked up a Rotary Kensington from Ivory Trunk for $80

I've been trying to find information on what movement it uses, but without any real success. I do know that it runs at28,800 bph. Looks like a sea-gull movement, but looks can be deceiving.

In any case I've had it for about a month now. It looks good and keeps good time.

I picked it up as a one-off on ebay. I haven't seen any others like it online, to be honest. I'll definitely keep an eye out for you though.

That seiko looks great. Anyone know where else I can get this watch? It's no longer listed on Seiya Japan's site. Thanks,

That is a handsome watch. Simple but elegant.

Thanks. I think you have to cruise Ebay for this model now as I believe it's no longer produced. There's some similar ones on Seiya I think, but not with the bevelled crystal. The crystal's cool but it requires a decent amount of sleeve room.

Thanks Kobalto. The similar ones on Seiya's site have a radial pattern on the face and I prefer the clean face of yours.
Will definitely keep an eye out for one on eBay.

I don't think this is necessarily the correct thread for this, but I saw this the other day in a local department store and couldn't resist posting it:

    65mm!!!

Note: I would not purchase this watch in a million years.

I wonder if the design team behind that just sat down and said "Okay guys, let's make the ugliest watch ever. Any ideas?".

And with 65 mm, the big watch fad has truly jumped the shark!
