Why are you posting this pretentious humblebrag bullshit in the Poor man's watch thread?

Hey guys, I picked up a vintage Tissot Seastar automatic at the thrift about six months back. It doesn't work but the watch guy says he can service it for around $200. That doesn't make a lot of sense when you can find them in good working order for under $150. Does anyone here want it to mess around with, play amateur horologist? You can have it for cost ($7.99) plus shipping. Too lazy to take pics, but it looks just like this:

    Apologies if I caused offence.

I thought my tips would be of some interest.

Obviously this forum is not for me. I will leave if.

Perhaps we should change the thread title to Sub-$1000 Watch Thread. Lots of reasons for buying a watch in this price range other than being "poor."

I thought this was a forum for people with style and sophistication. Not one for broke jealous wannabes.

You're either a troll or in the wrong thread. Post in the Watch Appreciation thread if you are serious. Who brings up a thread called Poor Mans Watch thread and starts bragging about how to save on 50k watches?

    I'm pretty sure troll.

Let's get back to talking about some cheaper, but still good, watches.
