Went ahead and got a Parnis watch just to see if they looked as good in person as they do online, and finally got it today. Looks and feels good, although the strap it came with was garbage, but I already knew it would be and had a new one waiting for it.

those parnis watches really look nice, though the movements are not nearly so much fun to look at. still, for under $100, they're fantastic. I'm very tempted to get one and throw it on a NATO strap for a sporty summer look.

I'm with you on this. Just afraid that it's gonna look like a clock on my girly wrist. [IMG]

They don't look that big. Maybe 40mm?

I think these Timex's from J Crew are a fun, versatile watch. Paired with several colorful watch bands you can have a stylish accent to wear year-round.

Problem is the huge J Crew markup. I would say buy the Timex online and then pick up a couple J Crew bands in store

Which of the parnis watches is the most versatile? I am looking for a watch that I can wear everyday on a leather strap. Maybe even with the j.crew bands. http://www.parniswatch.net/

decide to put back a brown strap on my blue spark

The Blue Spark is so nice, a real classic, very elegant and so much more legit than 99.9% of the Parnis stuff.

Please post better photos, preferably w/out the "IcanalsodotheRoliethingjustsoyouknow" big bad brother lording over....

I wanted to see one of those Parnis in person so bought one off ebay from Hong kong dealer that had sold a few of them before and had good feedback. It looks nice but it sounds like there are pieces loose inside the watch. I have owned a lot of watches and never experienced this. Anyone else experience this or did I buy a crap watch? It is working so far but if there is a piece or 2 loose in there, who knows for how long. And I am afraid if I move my hand too much, people will hear me coming down the hall!
