1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Interesting about those Seikos. May have to look into one.

I have the Symphony in the white dial. I think it would make a great first watch. My only quibble is the slanted rehault but they really had to do that.

Small watches just seem so dainty to me. By small I mean going much farther south of 38mm. No, I'm not some macho douche who thinks you must be TOUGH and BIG WATCH MAKE MAN TOUGH! Because I hate that philosophy even more. But 40-42mm seems to be my wheelhouse, though I'm primarily into divers which tend to be a little bigger than most watches. I just measured a shrouded Seiko diver I have to find it's a whopping 48mm. Yet I don't consider it too large for me, and I'm at 5'9", 235 and 6.5/6.75" wrist. Fat dude, skinny wrists... don't ask me how that works. But I don't think 'big watches' were some random trend that came and is now fading away. I think there will always be big AND small watches, because people buy both.

Dude, dont say fat, be nicer to youself,(and others I trust) use portly (reads better )! Anyhow, I dont believe it was a random fad either! And it doesnt look like its gonna die anytime soon, 2much moneys involved and the younger generation likes it[IMG] I have been noticing the shift and truefully it is easy'r to find 40mm+ watches than 36-38mm peices!

I like a nice PAM Homage. Who makes this one? Getat? Jackson? Parnis?

I bought a Jackson 40mm "Marina Militare" and threw a short-length Stowa calf-skin band w/ clasp for my Girlfriend. She loves it, gets compliments on it all the time.

Thanks! This is a Jackson, as I could not bear the wait of 1 month+ with Getat. Awful communication (bordering on rude), and got a few details wrong in the order. But know what you want, minimise changes, and its not bad!

    Thanks!

The shirt is a Ganton, I believe they are Australian owned and possibly made - which is amazing for a feeble 22 million population
