I wasn't familiar with several of these companies, but there are a few models in there that I really like.

I'm following Fears and Farer, some very attractive pieces. Geckota is interesting too. Others are too odd or avant-garde for my taste.

I like the Alkin, Pinion, and Siderious; they're pretty straightforward watches with either nice details, nice colors, or both.

I wish more watches would offer a 12 hour bezel. It's much more useful than the typical diver countdown or the utter waste of space that is a tachymeter.

Well they definitely dont warrant a discussion on this Poor Man's Watch thread. They are not eligible here based on price :)

I hear that these MB&F pieces are much cherished by posh collectors. And are booked and snapped up before they even release. You reckon thats true? Thats no indication or suggestion though that they are beautiful timepieces.

I can see those (millionaires) who buy Richard Mille watches (awful as well) also going for these, following some hype. Whether they actually like them, it's a different thing.

By the way, from now on I will post here anything about watches, as I left the main thread.

There are a couple of regular posters in the expensive watches thread who are tedious assh*les. Liberal use of the ignore button has made my viewing of it much more pleasant.
That thread tends to ebb and flow based on the personalities posting on it at the time. There are times when there is general appreciation for all kinds of watches, even those that are less than $5K. There are also times when certain posters will make snide comments when cheaper watches are posted or start making poor jokes and demand that someone post a Rolex immediately. It's why this thread picks up steam when the other one starts to get insufferable.

Besides a couple of contemptible persons, that thread is permeated with a fake, unpleasant (for me at least) sense of humour, and stereotypes recur ad nauseam: TWAT, FART, PGLB, Waffle House, grunt, grunt (as someone recently said).

And an insufferable snobbery trashes every watch not sporting Rolex, Patek or Cartier on the dial, except absurd and overpriced pieces where reading the time is optional.
