Picked up a Serica California field watch as a holiday gift to myself. Tis the season 😬

My most expensive watch purchase to date (I have a Seiko, a Paulin, and an old Casio) - but really happy with it! At 38mm it's a good size for me and will work well with a lot of casual fits.

A few days on the wrist. I really like this watch: it looks greatly proportioned and excellently finished. I love the grey colour and the subtle yellow markers. Also pleased with the sapphire bezel.

All the more it bothers me that the gorgeous bracelet is poorly engineered, as the links are too tightened and don't allow it to properly flex and follow the wrist contour.

So, following @New Shoes1 's advice
I bought a tropic strap from Joseph Bonnie. It should arrive today.

Nice outfit, especially shoes and jacket's cloth. Is the watch bronze? It seems to have no patina.
Thanks. Yes, it is bronze but not worn enough to "patinate". The shoes are Carmina cognac cordovan. The coat is from Belvest pure cashmere, pants Loro Piana corduroy.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
