The results of my Herring Seconds Loake Hickstead purchase as follows:

Well, they fit perfectly and have a nice finish. Arrived from Herring So this is my first pair of brown, leather-soled, english shoes.

As you can see they ARE seconds - not perfect.

I like the last and the shape of the gussets.

Looking good with jeans.

And finally, a closer look at leather quality - pretty good.

Your Ankle Boots Rock!
Nothing better than ankle boots for a casual masculine style.

How do you think they'd go with a suit?

Congratulations, great shoes. You say they are seconds, not perfects! I don't see anything wrong. What issues do they have?

If you look close at Pic #1, there are itty-bitty scratches on the toe of the left boot. At least, that's all I can imagine the problem being. I actually didn't notice until I got the zoom effect of the picture!

Those are exactly the same as the brown CT chelseas. I love mine. Good choice. If you're interested in messing with them a bit, I recommend navy blue polish.

P.S. they look to be in better shape than my CT pair were when I got them. And they look better with your jeans than with my straight leg Uniqlos, though I usually wear them with APC NS instead or HL 'bootcut' (slightly wider than the UQs).

The best part is, those are $25(sale) Gap jeans.
