GrapevineHill, an excellent seller of Ralph Lauren / Purple Label (and many other) shoes on eBay. Also has a storefront at www.grapevinehill.com.

Edit: Damn you skalogre.

Nice. Now that we've established what GVH is, any help on size?

Bwahahaha! Thwarted again, you naughty little person! (ok, that was the highlight of my day. Damn. "Dear Diary. Someone asked who GVH was and I answered before that Kronik person. I AM THE KING OF THE WORLD!!!!!")

GVH has a decent return policy, too (although I have not used it myself). edit: Re: sizing, it is my understanding that all UK-sourced RL Polo sold there are at least somewhat large.

i ordered a rl chawner (similar or identical last, double buckle monk) in my usual size (i.e., what I wear on the AE 1, 4, 7, and 8 lasts) and it fitted fine.

some people dropped a half size. i think it depends on whether you fit primary around the girth or the length of your feet.

Normally a 7.5D in Alden, Ferragamo, etc.

Just tried on the Tellman's (7.5D) I received from GVH - Fit perfectly.

Black Mackays in 7D are wearable but pretty snug. I guess that means I should return them right?

Are the RL Pierson's an Edward Green shoe?

The MacKays will loosen a bit with wear.

They do like EG to me. Hate to spend this much and get C&J.

Absloutely yes, an EG shoe. Very plain, but a quite elegant black shoe.

Good point. Tried 'em back on and they are not as snug as I originally thought. Gonna keep 'em.

Also, I really really like the Tellmans. I think they are underrated. Anyone thinking about pulling the trigger on these at auction (not at GVH for $340) should be encouraged.
