I am curious as to the fit of the Polo Congressman line? What about the Congressman II?

I found a couple online, but have yet to try one on in person.

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks.

I assume it has secret pockets hidden in the lining, to stash the kickbacks and bribes you get from all those crooked lobbyists.

I wouldn't say "crooked." I would say "generous."

Given the way Congressman dress, this may be the most conservative business dress name for a suit, ever.

It's a slim fit, with narrow lapels and natural shoulders. I think it's supposed to look like a suit that RFK would have worn, hence the name. The pants are also slim, but are tapered rather than cut straight so that legs are slimmer than the butt/thigh area. I tend to think of it as the slighty less euro looking brother to the black label suits.

I'm pretty sure the Congressman is shorter in length than the Polo 1-4 models.

Hard to fit, as per length, Saks lists the length as 31 inches for a regular length jacket.

I bought a herringbone "congressman" fit blazer. I normally wear a 40R but had to get a 42R and it was still snug. I think they tend to run fairly slim.

I thought they might be trimmer, but would have never guessed that much. Thanks for the info.
