No. College sports are already too much like professional leagues.
Maybe that's b/c college sports are meant to prepare people for professional leagues?
The percentage of college athletes who go onto the pros is very, very, very small.
But the reason that college sports exist is to train athletes to go into professional sports, and to find which ones will be the most successful, regardless of whether 1 person goes or 1,000 people go.
My goodness you are misguided. That has nothing to do with why college sports exist.
You're right, training athletes for professional sports isn't the only reason college sports exist. They also exist b/c there's a great market for it, so it makes money. They also exist b/c a lot of people enjoy watching it. And, they also exist b/c it gives some people who wouldn't have the chance to go to college without sports an opportunity of a lifetime.
