Poll: How many neckties is too much?

I was ridiculed recently by my tailor for owning too many ties. This got me thinking. Please vote herein.

I have about 40 and can't even imagine having 50.....but I don't wear a tie everyday. If I did, I would say anything over 80 is nuts...but this is SF we are talking about.

I've probably amassed 12-13 between Sam Hober, Vanda, and Kent Wang. Pretty proud of my tie quality and I am confident I am set for pretty much any situation with what I have.

Considering I don't wear a tie every day, anything over a few dozen or so seems like a lot. Even then, I would have no problem wearing the same tie every fortnight.

I don't wear ties for work but I have probably about 10. However I'm slowly replacing the crap ones with good quality timeless pieces

I don't wear tie everyday and I have 8. I need to expand to about 10-13 and that should cover for everything that I need it for.

Every tie discussion/thread, I can't help but to think of Vox's insane drawer. But again, he is an exemption to the rule.

Though, my honest answer would be 200+. And this is as a collector. At the level, I think it becomes hard to appreciate what you have.

I don't wear ties every day, but I am at 20+ and trying to keep it growing. Not sure what the magic stop number is.

I keep about 60 in active rotation and routinely "retire" those ties which I feel look dated or am just bored with. While I am not a collector per se, I have kept every tie I have ever bought (except those that were dirty or damaged) since starting to wear them 30 years ago and that number amounts to about 300.

Actually, I'd be curious what the ratio of ties to pairs of shoes is with some of the guys around here. I probably have 40-50 ties, ... and 40-50 pairs of shoes.

For my 60 ties I have about 20 pairs of shoes (not including casual shoes/boots)
