I think a bit more imagination and design consolation is required here. This page feels truncated.

I see that the advertisements have been moved to the side. This is hardly very good - wide screens were not invented so that one third of their width can be taken up by advertisements to the detriment of the content.

This is reminiscent of Ask Aandt Aabout Clothes which is intended to make money not provide for discussions as a primary objective. {Please move them back to the top where those interested can look at them and the rest of us are not troubled by them

Maybe because people don't like change, and this is just change for change's sake to the detriment of usability. Similar with FB.

It really creates a weird display of the forum. I have a widescreen and still, the actual written part looks rather small.

Plus, I bet that most of the frequent members of this forum have bought in many of the affiliates stores (that's my case at least), so we don't need to have them all the time in front of us.

The voting appears to be quite unanimously against.

The new system goes live in less than 24 hours, whether anyone likes this layout is kind of a moot point.

I'm for change and I do understand the economic s behind that decision to change the page layout but the all thing is visually awful..

I get the impression that this will NOT be the final lay out. The system is yet to go live......

Can't stand it. Why? Because I often run the internet on half the screen. When I do that, I don't have nearly as much width to play with, and if a 5th is taken up by space on the right, I have even less forum space to use.

Basically, I want to use as much horizontal space as possible on actual content. And if that doesn't happen, I'll be removing SF's ads from my browser completely.

the poll is an instant fail because this IS NOT THE NEW LOOK. its just a transition until the new site launches. the new site looks nothing this. it takes some getting used too since its diferent but its really nothing like this. it is actually very cool. everybody take a deep breath, you beloved styling forvms will be just fine.
