Poll: Convenience Store Music: Annoying?

Just curious to hear peoples thoughts on this. I work at a post office & drug store and on the rare occasion the music doesn't get turned on in the morning, I find that people are more patient in line. It's the same stuff played every day so it takes it's toll on me as well.

perhaps a mod could move this to DT. more responses/votes = good. I'd like to print it off and take it to my boss so he does away with the hellfire that is retail store music

Consider yourself lucky.
When I was in college,

After a while, I didn't even hear it.

What I don't like at drug stores, supermarkets, etc.,
is advertising via the public address system.

I'll be at the local Piggly-Wiggly,
minding my own business,
when all of a sudden I hear a sing-songy voice.
It's urging me on,
"Have you tried Fryes bacon?
It's succulent and delicious.
Why not pick up a pound.
Try it out at your house.
You're family will just love it."


Hell, lady, this is the South.
We've all tried the Frye's.
We eat the stuff 24 hours a day.

Definitely. We get teenagers to seniors coming in here, and just by looking at the numbers you can figure out that a very small fraction of people actually like any one song that might be playing. The rest, I assume (and the limited poll results reflect this), just find it annoying!
