Hi there,

My first post, so I apologize in advance if I've made any mistakes thus far.

I recently purchased a pair of Magnanni Cid shoes on sale (link below) and would like some advice on how to approach polishing (maintaining) my new shoes. The majority of the leather is brown colored, but eventually fades into a black in the toe box area.

I've gone to a cobbler and he's just telling me to bring it in and will charge me $40. For my budget, this is a bit steep so would prefer to do it on my own, if possible.

My background with polishing shoes has just been polishing black shoes with kiwi (jar). It's been recommended to use Meltonian polish (but I'm having trouble identifying my color), Saphir polish, Frye Leather Conditioning Cream, and/or a neutral polish (though, my concern is that it would leave a white film that may eventually crack (?)).

Any feedback will be much appreciated. Thank you all so much! This site has been very helpful!
