Rare candies raised pokemon don't have as high of stats as regularly trained pokemon brah.
Hence, to max a Pokemon's stats, you have to time your rare candies with vitamins (I.E. Zinc, Carbos, etc.). The department store at Celedon is where it's at.

Sonick and Edina, you guys are the same age as us, and you never played? Were you the only two fags in elementary school without gameboys?

To get max stats you use the pokemon to beat the elite 4 a bunch of times (you can do this after the rare candies).

Considering the first gym leader uses rock based pokemon and the second is water based, Charmander is always a bad choice. Do you guys remember the sequence to glitch a certain item and get 99 of them by surfing up and down the side of that island?

Charmander or Bulbasaur. I still have a holo charizard laying around somewhere. Word spread through the third grade in like 10 minutes.

Always Charmander. Burning your enemies alive is so much cooler than brushing them with some leaves or dripping water on them. Every fifth grader knows that.

What is this Shining Charizard BS?!

I actually have 3 Charizard holo cards...along with all 102 cards from the 1st set. I lost interest when they started getting into the other decks.

Woah, didn't realize they were still worth money. I never played the Charizards, kept them in those card holders. I was always Psy (allakazam)/ Fighting (Hitmonchan - basic so no need for leveling).

Once, I tried a level-3 powerbeefblast with Steel Serpentazoid. It was so powerful it blew Labiomonster away in one shot!

Didn't any of you just play sports or any other physical activities as a kid? No wonder Americans are so damn fat and lazy.
