1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Well, please post photos of guys wearing pocket squares in a city other than Florence......

Not a comment on your selection of pictures. It's a good selection. It's just weird that everybody there poses on the lip of the same fountain.

Hey, PSG. I see that Will blew your cover! I guess you'll just have to find a non-agency job.

I mentioned this earlier in the thread, but this is the mark of a poor quality square. A good print should penetrate substantially to the other side, let's say at least 75%. Many folds, such as the reverse puff will show both sides of the square, so this is important. I pay attention to this when sourcing fabric, and this constraint is very limiting; there are many great designs that I can't use because they don't penetrate deeply enough to the reverse side. If you look at, for example, Hermes squares and scarves they have very good penetration, around 90%. I'm generally not a fan of their designs, but there is no question that Hermes printing is top quality.
Yeah, it's pretty damn annoying trying to find nice designs with good saturation.. Even if the pattern is top notch, if the back looks like crap it's a no-go for me. Ruins alot of really nice folds, like the SpooPuff*, puff with some points peeking out. Also, love this one. Fabric on the jacket is gorgeous and the shirt goes perfectly with it. Tie is a bit different but I think it works. A knit tie would look smashing!

I'm getting a lot of inspiration from this thread and I absolutely LOVE this tie. Is it dupioni silk? Who sells them?

I believe it is a Drakes Shantung raw silk. A Suitable Wardrobe had them but they may be out of stock. If so try Barney's, Neiman's or order directly from Drakes.

Here is a story on them. http://www.gentlemansgazette.com/dra...raw-silk-ties/

I believe that would more appropriately be known as a Spoofâ„¢.
