I think wide and low, horizontal pointing, peaked lapels (and wide spread collar shirts) only look good on people with very narrow, sunken-in heads like Prince Charles. If you have a big ol' head like that guy you should stick to a more narrow lapel. Not all suits work on all people.
...except that a narrow lapel would only serve to contrast a larger head, not complement it.

Do you think fat people should wear horizontal stripes as well??

That website talks about shirt collars, not suit lapels, champ.

    And seriously - mens-fashion-tips.com?

PSG is right. The color is casual so would look fine without a tie as well. I think a wedding calls for some colorful, festive accessories.

Me, wearing my cornflower flora linen pocket square. Lately, I've liked wearing patterned squares in a TV fold.

I bought this ps from Kent...thanks for the suggestion. Should be very versatile for summer. I'm assuming you guys iron your ps before wearing?

You can wear whatever you want. If you want you lapels as wide as your shoulders, be my guest. Lol....

Classic stupid rebuttal. You're for gay marriage?? OMG you must support paedophilia and bestiality!!! And of course you can dress as you want, but expect to called out for asinine commentary - like recommending slim lapels to de-emphasise a large head, or saying that peak lapels 'should point up' - you stupid fuck.

JS1357: While that image of the guy with the massive lapels is hilarious, and not trying to sound like an elitist fuck, you have got it all backwards. Like apropos said, wide lapels for a big head, small lapels for a small head. Same for hair, beards, etc, etc. Duh?!

I never iron squares; it is not necessary.
