    Like this suit pretty much:
The tie is diagonally striped with thick red stripes and thinner white/blue stripes, like the Norwegian flag, its a tie for Norways national day which is next week.
But I figure I might buy a burgundy knit tie instead

depends on the proportions of the pattern. you would be better off finding a square that has one of those colors.

white linen is obviously a safe choice. you could always opt for something that has similar hues of blue within the square. Doesn't have to be much.

not trying to shamelessly plug but these are examples where you have traces of blue that can pop out. The last two are from Drakes

Are white pocket squares not in fashion. I've been to a few stores in my area and haven't been able to locate a white pocket square in linen. A few of the sales associates told me no one where's them anyone.

Am I alone in my dislike of fancy printed pocket squares? IMG_0191.JPG

Honestly, just use one of the many SF approved merchants. Wang, Hober, Vanda all make great linen squares (white, colored edges, etc), that I would bet are superior to any department store riffraff you're likely to come across, and all can be had far better prices.

I have one very similar to this except that the blue is a bit darker. I find that it goes with just about any color, any fabric in any season except it won't work with a tie with any size dot pattern.
