Can anyone suggest a pocket square to go with a light grey suit and mint green tie? Both are solid and light so I'm hoping to add something that will make the outfit look less bland.

    Edit: shirt is white

Honestly? That tie looks like something for a wedding party. That's a tough color to wear well.

If you're wearing a suit, and a white shirt, a plain white handkerchief is the best option.

    I absolutely agree with YRR92
That is a tough colour to wear with success - BUT: if I had to do it, I would fold up one of these puppies, but be sure to only show a subtle amount of fabric!!!

All from Berg & Berg (not in stock, unfortunately)

The key is showing just a bit of aqua/turquoise of the square's colour palette without it dominating...

Bingo. I'll have to try to pull it off as best I can. Thanks for the suggestion.

Ooof. I just hope it looks okay on the women. I'd still go for plain white.

I am looking for a pocket square to wear with a navy or dark grey suit and a white shirt to a ball. I thought you can't really go wrong with a white linen PS, but read that the matching the shirt and square is not great taste. What would be a good alternative?

That rule is overwritten by the rule that you can never go wrong with a white linen pocket square.

OK, that's reassuring. What alternatives would I be looking at, though, if I wanted something different than the bog standard, but still tasty?

What color is your tie? Wear a square that's roughly in that color range, or just as long it isn't clashing horribly, but also make sure it's not too similar. Today I wore a dark green pocket square with a brown cashmere tie.

Oops, that's obviously a vital piece of information I forgot to mention: I was planning on wearing a navy or black grenadine.

And here's another one of our bespoke vintage pocket square-edged throughout with only the use of hands, needle and good thread. I find it very dandy.

And look at the beauty of this rim completely hand made ... it is always the first bespoke pocket-square.
