I like this vintage pocket watch chain through the button hole. Ralph Lauren used to show this look a lot in the late 80's. There was also a classic British actor who wore this look, among others.

Safety line to avoid losing the pocket square?

What do you guys think of the following combination? I know there are quite a few patterns going on including with the suit but thought the complementary colours and different sized polka dots might make it work. Too many dots? Too red white and blue? Silk tie and silk square too similar?

If the current pocket square doesn't work in your opinion, can you suggest what colours/design might complement the suit, shirt and tie combo? Apologies for the poor image quality!

^^^The major "issue" is dots on a tie and dots on the square. One set of dots per outfit is enough. A plain white linen square would be ideal with the rest of this. However, I do like the navy square with white dots for another outfit.

This would only look good with a navy trouser.

This one is a bit summery and a bit of a risk. Be kind to the look. A lot of patterns. I wore with white chinos and black ferragamo loafers.....

IMO the PS and SC match too much. White linen would have been my choice.
