I didn't want to put this in the "wedding thread" as even though it's for my wedding, it's more about the accessories.

So, I'm wearing a black suit with the peaked lapels and this is my tie. I have decided to no wear a boutonnière and would really like to wear a lapel flower instead. I like the idea of black (more for a funeral..I know) because it's easy to miss and I like tone on tone. With this combo, would you wear a pocketsquare?

I'll also be wearing a double-breasted waistcoat.

Not sure if a simple white pocketsquare done in a straight fold would be too much? Can I wear both? Should I lose the lapel flower and stick with the pocketsquare only?

The lapel buttonhole is stitched in a dark grey, so there would be some contrast without the flower.

-Lose the lapel flower.
-I would not wear a black suit to my wedding.
-Black suit with that tie says "drab" to me.
-Black suit with that tie and lapel flower says funeral director to me.

Well, the wedding is at night, and the colors are basically black, white and silver. Blue would be out...and standing at 6'5" and 310lbs...I don't look good in grey. I also didn't want to wear a tux, so black suit was the logical choice for me.

I'd lose the flower and wear a simple flat pocket square

To look slightly less large, wear a pocket square, preferably in cream or something else tasteful but not too formal .
