Do you ever wonder what your life would be like had you not discovered the knowledge of clothing that you now know?

Have you ever pursued a friendship/relationship based on the way someone was dressed? Do you think your life would be easier, with one less thing to think about? Would you be working where you are now?

I find that since I've started to care about my appearance, it has affected my life. I've met people that I would have never met, experienced relationships that I would have never had, etc. However, I've noticed that I have developed a habit of looking at someone and attempting to paint a general picture of who they are before I even speak with them. While it never really affects how I interact with them, it's interesting... How has your life been affected by your interest in style?

I think the only thing clothing may/may not have affected in this way at all is a friendship with a friend based losely around thrift store shopping together a good 70 times my freshman and sophomore years of college.

Like with any interest, it impacts on your personality and your priorities in life, thus affecting who you meet, who you find interesting (and vice versa), where you go, how you spend your time.
