A question from a novice: is it alright to have a pair of pants with pleats but without creases? Or does the first require the second?

That's a fairly silly question even for a newbie and suggests that you know little or else this is :spam:.

Trousers have creases irrespective of whether they have pleats. You would look extremely slovenly without.
