I like them alot actually. If the color was a bit lighter it would be a perfect casual shoe for the spring give my taste

Santoni FAM do some wacky jobs to high quality. MSRP should be above 800$ but they're often found on sales (due to their wackieness).

Huh? A number of stores in NYC sell Paraboot. Plus Maxwell's in Cape Cod. Sky Valet in DC used to, apparently not any more. They do have the usual SF approved brands however.

Shoe's are largely about context... Night club you say? Suit? If it's nightclub oriented I'd steer you away from sporting $800 dress shoes and steer in a different direction. Are you wanting to wear these also to an office?

Only if they have sound sensors and the soles light up to the beat.

Lobb's Jermyn III may work for you; they're more "non-traditional" than the Gucci shoes you posted, which are basically fashiony traditional balmorals. I'm sure they'd be fine in a nightclub.

Malford of London is/was selling them (seconds w/ minor imperfections I recall) for less than $800. May find 'em on ebay too.

I can't imagine wearing Lobb in the club. One would be busy protecting your shoes all night.

You can't imagine it. I can't imagine it, too. But the OP is looking at Gucci and willing to spend $800, so I surmise he can imagine it. Ain't that all that really matters, yeah?

The Banana Republic shoe actually looks decent. The website lists it as having a rubber sole, but from the pictures, it looks to be leather Goodyear-welted. Does anyone have any personal experience with this shoe? I am assuming it is not full-grain leather, but it is relatively inexpensive.
