Tonight, we will be moving user accounts to the new forum system. Because there are differences in the crypt method used between the two systems, passwords are incompatible, and all users will need a new password. Because of this, all users will be emailed a new password for their accounts during the board upgrade. The email address used to send you your password will be the email address you registered with. If you do not have accurate email address data in your current profile, you will not receive a new password and will be forced to open a new account on the new forum. This is VERY IMPORTANT: For security reasons, we can not reissue passwords manually on the new system. We will only email them to the email address used in the current profile. This way we know that you knew the old password, without us needing to know the old password. This is for YOUR privacy. Once again, you should be receving a new password for the new forum, within approx. 4 hours from this post. This password is only valid for the new system. Please verify that your email address in your account profile is accurate, and let us know if you have changed it. You can send a PM to either J or myself (linux_pro) on this forum, and use "NEW PASS" as the subject. We will automatically generate a new password for you and send it to the updated email address. Update (VERY IMPORTANT): Okay, everyone, the first batch of passwords that were sent out were using the wrong crypt method (the one used by the current forum, rather than the new one). DOH... That's what happens when I try reverse-engineering crypt methods at 4am, on the fly. Ugh. So, after a few cups of strong Seattle coffee, I was able to properly reverse-engineer the new forum's crypt method and replicate it. New passwords have been emailed, and only the second batch will function properly on the new forum, which can be found here: http://new.styleforum.net Please do not put any posts on the new forum yet. It is being worked on heavily at this point, and I need data integrity, not to mention that I will be dumping bogus data all over it this afternoon, so you might think you are suffering schizophrenia if you are trying to follow anything on that forum. Heh heh. SUMMARY: New passwords have been mailed. This second batch contains your actual password from the new forum. Please ignore the first batch.
