    Hey all,

So I stopped wearing colognes for about 5 years (gasp!), and I'm ready to start over. In the past I've worn (and really liked) Dolce & Gabbana pour homme and Dior Fahrenheit (although this one was a LONG time ago). I also love the cedarwood & rosemary scent of Pears soap.

I like manly, spicy, cedarwood, sandalwood-y scents with a touch of citrus.

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers!

My favorite of the moment has been Terre D'Hermes.

Given what you said you liked above (spicy, manly, sandalwood with some citrus), then Hermes Bel Ami is absolutely the one for you.

Caron Yatagan is another one you might go for. For some reason I'm also thinking of recommending Chanel Antaeus, and possible Andy Tauer's L'Air du desert Marocain for the cedar notes. You might also find joy in Burt's Bees Bay Rum, which is heavy on the cedar.

There's also Ormonde Man, which you should definitely sample before buying - try visiting Ormonde Jayne's website and requesting samples. They wanted to charge me for the full range of samples, but I was able to get their two mens' scents gratis.

Thomas, it's funny because I used to wear Antaeus years ago (like 10+ years), and I have a Burt's Bees Bay Rum in my medicine cabinet (although I'm not a huge fan).

Rach2jlc, I'll check out the Hermes - thanks

Blueberry, I think that one may be a bit too 'light' for me...

You might want to try Cartier Declaration.

I was sniffing some of the Hugo Boss, forget which one, and I liked it. Then some hot chick walked by and said it smelled really good. Couldn't argue with that so I bought a bottle. I've never worn a fragrance before, ever, but I want to start.
