this is one of the not so good Chan's I've seen posted.

I'm surprised that the shirt fitting is just so. For a bespoke shirt the fit is quite poor.

Here we have a good example of SF groupthink failing the average man. He asks for minimal padding when he needs a stronger shoulder to make his less sloped.

I think the way I am standing makes the shoulder look sort of odd. There is a small divet on my left shoulder that needs to be addressed. I do generally like a more conservative, American look than many on this board and the pants and shirt may reflect that. Next time I will probably take some fullness out. Someone told me the jacket is not balanced back to front. Could you explain that please?

As for the shirt, what should I tell Genenva? Take some fullness out of the arms, taper the waist somewhat and reduce the sleeve length by 1/8"?

I am not sure of the terminology to use with tailors. Especially old Italian and Chinese men.

Thanks for the input.

The shirt is bespoke or MTM? I've seen better at Jantzen/Modern Tailor, so I hope it's only MTM.

Isn't the shirt supposed to be a little big if not washed.

The potentials for both the suit and shirt are there.

Wear the suit for Patrick/Chan next time and ask what tweaking he would do on this one and your next with them.

Same for the shirt and Geneva.

Even with bespoke, the first iteration can be loosey goosey.

I don't think the faults which have been enumerated are from Chan.
To me, the shoulders are too pronounced, too square for my taste.
I don't own any Chan, but have seen several examples on someone
I know. His jackets have very natural "Neapolitan" shoulders and fit
fit beautifully.

Regardless of the type of shoulder, it doesn't look right. I think the problem is in the sleeves: how they are shaped or rotated.
