edit: My previous pics were a little dark so I turned on flash this time. Unfortunately it also started raining so I couldn't get much natural light. Also, please forgive the price tag in the first pic as I didn't notice it until after and I didn't want to ask my friend to do it again. Hello, I got a Brooks Brothers Fitzgerald Navy Blazer in 38S and would like some opinions on the fit before I get it tailored. For the record, I've also tried a 36S but it's a little constricting so I don't think that's an option. Measurements of the 38S are: Shoulders: 17 Pit to Pit: 19.5 Length from BoC: 29.5 I did notice some ripples in the fabric underneath the collar but I'm hoping the tailor could fix that. Thanks.

Looks good, gorge might be a little big for some tastes, but fit is nice.

Pictures far too dark to determine much.

Light is not the best...but from what can be seen it is really nice.

With such a nice blazer, why not go outside and take nicer pics to show it off a little better, it is hard to see. What little I can see suggests shoulders and chest a bit wide. Chest is very tailorable, shoulders will cost you $$$ to fix. But need better pics to be sure.

17" shoulders on a 38S! That's slim indeed. Looks like a nice jacket. I might look into this one myself. Do you happen to know the s2s of 36S as well?

Should be a center vent.

That's one of the best straight off the rack fits I've ever seen, even down to the sleeve length, but better pictures will get you better advice, as has been noted.

Dude, it looks great. Tailor will only need to tweak. Don't let them mess it up.

Thanks for the replies. I took some picture again but due to the weather outside they're only slightly better. Here are the measurements I took of a 36S:

Shoulders: 17
Chest: 19.5
Length BoC: 28.5

As you can see, it's almost exactly the same but the 38S I received was made in USA by Southwick while the 36S was Made in Thailand. I'm guessing it could be an older version of the same blazer. In either case, the fabric has a hopsack weave which makes it feel more sturdy than a normal suit jacket.

Looks pretty good to me.
BTW, is that San Francisco through the window?

Just found it funny that you blanked out your face from the front, but not with your side photo.
Are the 38S and 36S of the same model?

How tall are you OP?

At 5'9 I find 38R's a bit long, but many 38S's too short.

That blazer at 29.5 for short actually looks like a good option. (29" seems ideal for me)
