I took these to a tailor and asked him to taper down the pants to 8", which he did.

On the other hand, the break seem way too full. Or am I wearing them too low on my waist?

What else can you tell me about the fit of these pants?

Thanks

Tapered pants require a light break or better yet, no break. Have him redo that. Add cuffs as well (1.5" tall).

The seat is also too full, he can take that in.

My first impression was that they are overly long. Far too much of a break for my tastes.

What is seat? This part?

How much should he take in?

Thanks!

More to the point, when did Richard Pryor become white?

Yeah, that look can work with the right kind of jeans, but not with dress pants. Too long.

as others have mentioned, besides being too long, they're a mediocre fit, but acceptable. the seat is too big (ie too much fabric so it's falling into your ass-crack instead of being relatively flat across your butt)

do not touch the length until the upper is altered first.
pull the trouser up so that the crotch comes as high as is comfortable.
then have the waist and seat area altered so that the trouser dose
not fall down. the crotch may need to be taken in also.
when that is done then check the length.
