By no means have I forgotten your kind advice in regard to single breasted blazer when you recommended Turnball & Asser RTW as far superior to Giewes & Hawkes RTW. Perhaps T&A has their sale on now and their double-breasted blazer is included? You mentioned that the single breasted T&A blazer is of full canvas internal structure, presumably this is true of their double-breasted blazer, too. In any case, I believe the T&A RTW blazer price would be several hundred £ higher than N&L.

This is quite a diplomatic formulation - pleasant to hear, nevertheless the objection to N&L button composition hurts! Any price criticism seems unfounded without concrete alternative. Thanks for your post.

If I would go for any DB item, it would be a suit or a very very "interesting" sport coat, possibly with bold stripes.

Regarding your objection to a navy blazer with metal buttons - what if the buttons were to be replaced?

Your question about the versalitily of a double-breasted blazer interests me very much?

You don't comment about the controversial width of the button placement?
