    Man, Game 5 was great.

As I've said, I got the Pistons winning this series, its gonna be really tough now, but I still got them taking it, lets hope money talks cause I got some riding on it.

    Horry.

Man, even rooting for the Pistons, you can't be mad at their loss, Horry was unbelievable, he was everywhere down the stretch. I've respected Horry's game before, but I was never a fan of his, after this game I'm a fan.

Memo to Pistons: Guard the guy inbounding the ball who's already hit 4 of 5 three pointers in the second half...

Great game, and Horry won it for them. I think last night was the championship game. I don't see any way that Detroit can win two at SA.

Gotta Love Clutch Man, or Big Shot Bob, or whatever. I still owe that guy for saving the Lakers' collective asses on their way to their three peat with his buzzer beater 3 pointer against the Kings in the Western Conference Finals a couple of years ago.

No kidding...I couldn't beleive the most dangerous guy on the floor was wide open.

As upset as I was with the Pistons, I was happy to see Horry close out the game the way he was playing. Sheed lost the game just as much as Horry won it when he ignored the inbounder.

For Game 6 I see three possibilities:

Detroit has given up, is handled easily by SA
Detroit puts up a fight, but is edged out by SA
Detroit puts up a fight, squeaks by SA, forces Game 7

Two of the three have Detroit losing. I think Duncan actually plays well tonight and we will see option two, with SA taking the title. If Detroit does win, they'll lose Game 7. No way they win two at SA. They lost the title last game (or by not showing up anytime in the first two).

In complete agreement with Alan C. Not to detract from Detroit. They just dug themselves a hole too deep for all but the very best teams (Recent Lakers, Jordan Bulls) to dig out of. Detroit is a good team, not a great team.

Okay, a little off-topic here but why does Hubie Brown have a job?? The guy is worse than Tom Tolbort, and that is saying an awful lot. Hubie will start a sentence saying is playing terribly and halfway then finish the sentence saying hes one of the best finishers in the game. The guy is out of his mind, hes an idiot.

Where is Bill Walton when you need him? He is the best thing to ever happen to NBA commentating "That was a HORRRRIBLE shot." lol, I love Walton. He's one of those guys I guess people love or hate, and I'm defenitely in the former category. We need more Walton, and less Hubie.

Also, I used to love hearing Fratello and Albert fight with each other during a telecast, they need to get those two back together, they are the defenition of drama, TNT take note.

    Sport is no so simple.

Spurs were VERY lucky to win the last match at Detroit so Chances are 50/50 for the tittle.

I am picking the Pistons to win Game 7. They came back strong after a heartbreaking Game 5 loss. No team plays better with their backs to the wall. People say no team has won the last 2 games on the road to win a title, but so what. It's going to happen one year and this is the year. The Bosox won 4 in a row last year and that was the first time it ever happened, so history an and does happen. I like a Larry Brown coached team over a Popovich coached team anyday. it will be a great game and anything can happen in a Game 7. I'm going with my original pick and taking Detroit.

P.S. I think it was a mistake for the Spurs to have a parade already planned when they hadn't won 4 games yet.

Proposed ending: Game tied. Sheed knocks downs a baseline jumper over an outstretched TD at the buzzer for the championship and to absolve himself of all blame for Game 5. Go Detroit....

Okay, I'm flip flopping on this. Common sense tells me that there's no way that Detroit can win two in a row at SA, but I'm going to go with Detroit by 6 tonight. I really thought Duncan would step up last game, but he and Ginobli have been out to lunch. Detroit will keep their comeback streak alive, and repeat as champions.

    Sport is no so simple.

Common sense also tells me that SA will win tonight, but I'm rooting for the Pistons. And they have been on a streak.

Interesting side note: a Washington Post sports columnist wrote in a recent column that three African-American NBAers not playing in the finals told him off the record that they desperately wanted the Pistons to beat the Spurs to put the foreigners in their place.  Apparently, concerns about "outsourcing" are not limited to the working class.
