Playing Horseshoes

I played horseshoes for the first time ever last night. It was so much fun and now I want to play all the time. My 3rd pitch of my first game resulted in a ringer. I was so excited. Does anybody play on here and have any tips for me?

Mrpologuy, it is imperative you play the game on a sunny day with the grill fired up and drunk with a few pretty ladies in short skirts and not too far from your side.

If you're playing with your wife make sure she's in the line of fire...

I played with brats, dogs, and burgers on the grill with a cold Pacifico beer in my hand with my girl and her friends hanging out in short skirts and tanks on the patio!!!!

The house my friend and I moved into in college had pits, and my roommate and I became addicted. All of our friends caught the bug and we would drink all afternoon and toss the shoes around. Our neighbor came over once and a while and would finish a game very quickly, he would curse himself if he didn't get a double ringer. His advice, try different ways to hold the shoe, until you find your grip. My advice, always have a cold beer close. I can't wait to have a house so I can start throwing again so much fun.
