I was shopping for glasses recently and they told me that all pro design models come with the option of adding nosepads. so if you see a pair you like, you can have those build in.

the other brands they carried did not.... oliver peoples, paul smith, mykita, j lindeberg, ic berlin, face a face, salt, orgreen, alain mikli, etc. some had nosepads, but most did not.

I have this problem as well as my nose bridge is very small.

I goto a korean optometrist in garden grove who is able to install plastic pads screwed in with a small metal arm.

Both glasses are like this and is visually subtle and cleanly done.

Like others have said, get some Japanese frames. Got some Propo Design frames from Spectacles for Humans and the fit couldn't be better.

Can you buy Prodesign online? The highest end I can find in my area is Oliver Peoples and couldn't find anything that worked for me.

Always try glasses on in person. Especially if you are having fit issues.

For those of you who have plastic eyeglasses and keep having problem with your glasses slipping down your noses, you could try putting Silicone Adhesive Nose Pads on. they really help for people with low or no nose bridges and they come in clear transparent shades. they make your glasses sit higher on your nose so your lashes dont hit the lenses. you could check out the following site http://nosepadking.com/ for more info...i have some and i like them a lot!

I never realized this was a big issue for me until this thread.

Does lenscrafters have that patch thing? I have plastic frames.

The thing about glasses is they can'tbe too large or they wont fit asian noses, and in particularly i mean the verticle width of the lenses.

the new wayfarer works for me, i'll post up some pics

I think most asians have this problem and it used to be a continual frustration for me living in the states to walk into an optical store and basically nothing fit because of my non-existent bridge. If you have a chance to travel to asia you can walk into any optical store and everything will fit! It is a revelation. Many of the designer brands also sell completely different models here to cater to the bridge issue. Not sure if going to your local chinatown optician would make a difference as the stock might still be the same, but could be worth a try.

I am also currently looking for a place to do the nosepad surgery as described in previous posts to a couple pairs of specs which I bought when I was still in the states. Love the design and hopefully can actually start wearing them again once I get the fit right.

can anyone post pictures of installed nosepad arms on a pair of plastic frame glasses. i'm considering this route, but i imagine a plastic frame may look weird with this addition. thanks in advance.
