copepods are harmless and will filter out if you use a over the counter water filter. if you drink tap water in NYC, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle and Portland you will be drinking these too:

People don't realize how much bacteria they consume on a regular basis. I hate prissy people. An example: recently my wife and I went to a cultural festival where there were tons of food booths representing food from different countries around the world. We met a colleague of my wife at the park/event. The colleague had decided to pack a lunch - PBJ - because she was too afraid of the germs associated with "street food". JFC, just stay home and wear your kleenex slippers.
