Could someone please explain how the purchasing and shipping process works at PLAL.com? Do you call them? If so, who/what do you call them? Also, how does this site offer the C&J's at such a reasonable price.....are they authentic or factory 2nd's? Lastly, how long does it take to actually receive the shoes once an order is placed? I would like to pick up a pair of C&J's, but their website seems very shady.

Their shoes are 100% authentic and are first quality. I've done business with them before and would not hesitate to do it again.

Call/fax/e-mail your credit card info. I know your instincts tell you that this is a bad idea, but you can see by the sheer volume of happy customers on this forum, they're a 100% legit operation.

Call them and talk to them if you're really uneasy, but I can assure you that you have nothing to worry about.

They are old school in a modern tech world. Many Sf's have been shod by Plal, they are entirely trustworthy and fast.

How do they C&J's fit....i.e. do they run big? I'm about an 8D in most brands (A/E, Cole Haan, and Zegna).

Do a search - there's a ton of info on this all over SF, including specific information on various C&J lasts and how they tend to fit. And don't forget that, typically, UK sizes are approximately 1 full size larger than US ones.

Which means if you take a US size 9 you'll need a UK size 8.

Yes, I see the seach feature, but it's nearly impossible and a waste of time to sort through the various threads to find exactly what you're looking for. Put simply, it's much more efficient to just ask.

You can refine your search by just searching for threads titles containing Plal instead of the whole threads content.

I can vouch for Plal, i just made my first purchase a couple weeks ago and they are legit. I made my order over the phone. I emailed them with a time for them to call me(that way no toll call for me)

as for the size, I'm a US 12, and a UK 11 fits me perfectly.

enjoy your shoes
