First, let's start off with some pictures from the evening of day 1. were I probably had one too many drinks, because I woke up missing the lenscap to my camera (here's hoping I wont scratch up the lens):

And then we're off to day 2. In short: Chaos.
By my layman's estimation there were at least 30% more people than day 1, and day 1 was busy. From the looks of it, it could just as well be a music festival. Bright colours everywhere. Everyone seems to be outside, i'm guessing it has something to do with the weather, the sun is out and it's warm, at least for a Swede like me. This is pretty close to what I'd call Swedish summer heat, still everyone's wearing casentino. Thick wintercoats in all colours of the Rainbow gather at the Pitti square, there's music blasting and people are generally in a good mood. It's easy to be cynical when looking at pictures of Pitti ("woe, the decline of classic menswear"), but when you're in the middle of it, it's hard not to be swept away by the vibes.

We look through a few booths in the main pavillion, but unfortunately I had missed to change the ISO on the camera, so we will try and get some better pictures today. Hence, only Street style pictures today as well.

The evening was spent in Stefano Bemer's workshop. It was full of the menswear famous people, interesting exhibitors and lots of Italian gluhwine. I tried listening to the different accessory maklers who spoke about their craft and products, but unfortunately the workshop is not an ideal venue for speakers, my hearing impairment didn't help either. So after politely trying to look like I heard anything for 15 minutes I quietly snuck out to look at their products instead. Erica and I talked with a lovely lady from Begg & Co who told us about their cashmere scarves and the production that's all taking place in Scotland. We also spoke to Aleks from the Rake Magazine who showed us some of the products they will be selling in their webshop, it was some collaborations with Rubinacci, Gaziano & Girling, Drakes and Albert Thurston. We also had the pleasure of meeting a lot of Styleforum posters, like Butler, the Shibumi guys, the Skoaktiebolaget crew, Mr Claymore, Shaya from Exquisite Trimmings and Kirby of the Hanger Project.
You can see more pictures of the event on Styleforum's Instagram account.

    Anyway, pictures:

    Cracking stuff as always EFV.

Nice to spot Christian Kimber and Joe Ha representing Australia in there. (Well, they're both "New Australians", but no matter. So are 1/3 of all Aussies.)

Anyone know who made the jacket on the left? Quarters look Fiorentine, but in a bad exaggerated way below the buttoning point. Kind of makes his overall shape look widest in the middle, which I don't think is very flattering.

Apologies to the guy, I think he's a Swedish member of SF, too?

edit: thinking about it further, it could very well be his stance here.

Thanks @EFV these looks awesome. Don't stay up so late to edit pictures, I am sure they all are very good without much editing :p
By the way, your wife's style is impeccable. I really like it. Not only beauty but class as well, congrats! [IMG]

I am sure this spectacle is worth watching from within, the atmosphere, the noise, the colors... (not the smell because I am sure it smells like ashtrey given how everyone seems to smoke there haha)...

The jacket on the left is Eidos Napoli FW15 in the Lorenzo cut (inspired by the Florentine cut). I have the same one [IMG]

    Lots of exaggeratedly open quarters.

Then I spotted Durin from the Hobbit.

This is way more reasonable than some of the costumes that have been on display. There is so much manufactured sprezz at PItti that it will soon become Italy's number one export...

He may not look as good as everyone else but Gone Fishin' is the most real and that's why he's my spirit animal.

Not dressing up for Fok's theater is the ultimate power move.
