Kiton show some amazing looks. Browns, greys, and blues with red and orange accents, like much of the show, were prominent:

The shoe of next FW is the cross over monk. I saw them from brands like Kiton (as seen above) to more fashion brands like Buttero.

We caught up with Mike and Adele of Epaulet (www.epauletnewyork.com), my personal favorite stockist of Carmina (you should check out their selection), and they are going to be stocking a couple of models from the venerable Austrian maker Ludwig Reiter:

Here are some of the pictures of the collection, including the shoes with the broguing on the cap toe that is common now, but that originated at Ludwig Reiter, and something that I will order personally - a pair of really amazing monkstrap chukkas (it comes in a dark brown suede as well):

I've noticed an unfortunate trend (if that's the right word for it) for some men to wear DB jackets with the "outer" buttonhole done up using the inner button. I don't know whether it's some kind of bizarre attempt at sprezz, whether it's because their jackets are cut too slim/tight, or a combination of the two. Whatever it is, I think that it looks rather silly and sloppy - but that is, of course, just my subjective opinion!

His caption indicated that he knew the owner of this hat, who I would presume is one of the guys in the infamous photo. Perhaps someone could ask Ethan and settle the question as to whether or not they were in on the joke once and for all...

Though simply going on the existence of this photo, I would argue that that alone demonstrates that they were in on the joke. Clearly Ethan is wearing it tongue in cheek, and I doubt that he'd be hanging out with these guys with whom he is presumably friendly, and say "Man, you look like a GD idiot in that thing, can I take a pic?" Seems more likely they were all having a laugh about it.

One of the guys is named Agyesh Madan and he works for Isaia US. He has a degree from Stanford which leads me to believe he is in fact just having fun.

There are very well educated people with zero self-awareness. That said, I know Aygesh, and the guy has a pretty decent sense of humor. For example, I have no idea where the crazy beard came from. Also, Isaia puts on an awesome lunch spread the first day of Pitti, which I stupidly missed. Luckily, press eat for free at the press restaurant.
