Huh... should I move this to another sub? You would think people are interested in showing off their interests and that fashion would carry over to a pinterest account.

It's sort of a visual sharing website (a digital pinboard for interests, if you will) in which things are categorized. I like it because I can post things, find out who likes them, look at their ****, and get turned on to new things. I had no idea who Egon Shiele was before joining. Thanks to the site's semi-social nature I've been exposed to a lot of things I wouldn't otherwise. Also, it's cool to have a portfolio of interests that are portrayed visually. It's a great cue for figuring out aspects of my own proclivities. I never knew I had a penchant for gritty and spacial black and whites til I started cataloging photographers that I like. Or how much I wanted to **** Naomi Campbell.

p.s. If you want an invite, shoot me your e-mail via message.

they have taken a segment of facebook/tumblr and cultivated it. similar to what instagram is doing. different usages, but similar segmenting. i believe a study of some sort showed the #1 use/popular item of facebook was photos. these companies and others have broken off a piece of that pie by expanding it and zoning in on its functionality.

gonna make a ton of money if they havent already. that is my understanding anyway.

Yeah. It's a brilliant idea. Once again, I like it because it's more topically oriented. Well, at least around topics that aren't what x-person did on their weekend. in stiches, if you want a pinterest invite to get some **** and ass portfolios going I will totally send an invite out. And consequently "follow" the **** out of those portfolios.

p.s. I'd also think it'd be great if someone like the formerly GFreeman had like... hip hop albums and videos posted. I'd follow the **** out of that too.
