OK So I bought a pink stripe seersucker sports coat or summer blazer for summer wear. Sort of a pale pink color. I was planning on wearing it with white pants either linen or cotton as a all seersucker suit is just a little too much for me. But what do you think of these pale pink cotton pants with it? Too much pink? They look almost white with just a hint of color

Pink is just a hard color to wear it is too easy to overdo

No, please don’t. On my iPhone screen the colour of the pink trousers look very much like that of the jacket and pairing them together would look like you’re trying to force a jacket and an odd pair of trousers together to form a suit.

That was my worry I thought the smooth cotton vs the stripe seersucker would be enough contrast but probably not. I will stick to the white pants

Agreed. With the blazer look, you want sufficient contrast to avoid washout unless you're really going for that Rhode Island yacht club look with the rope belt and topsiders.

Any light or dark blue (or jeans) to red chino- all solids- should be fine. Pattern only on either top OR bottom, not both.

What tie would you wear with that jacket?

With white linen pants?

With dark blue chinos?

I would go for a bigger contrast, midgrey or blue
