I'm not a big fan of Will Ferrell or the usual brand of comedy of former SNL comedians. I disliked Anchorman, but I've liked most of the Apatow stuff that's come out in the last year and a half. I love Knocked Up and Superbad. I think it's hard to lump them all in with each other, though, because they all have different directors. They do have the same feel, but as far as I know Apatow is not even on set for the making of all of these movies. At this point I think he's basically just putting up the money to let buddies of his direct movies, and his name as the producer's credit is helping them all make a killing at the box office.

What did people think of Walk Hard? I thought it was okay, but I recently found out it's a favorite with a bunch of my friends and they've seen it dozens of times.

Pineapple Express and Stepbrothers are two of the funnier movies ever made.

With each, I worried that the trailers gave away all of the funny parts.

Boy was I wrong. I didn't stop laughing in either movie and actually saw both of them in theaters twice. Highly Recommended.

PE was funny, I didnt think it was as gut wrenching funny as Superbad but it kept me laughing for most of the film. There were spots where the scene and dialogue seemed forced, and I bet it'd be REALLY funny if you saw it stoned, but for us sober folk it still delivered on laughs

Pineapple Express' fight scenes were hilarious. The rest of the movie was alright. James Franco seemed constantly on the verge of breaking up laughing. Still, a likeable actor.

I find I enjoy most of the Farrell movies at home the more I see them than at the theater. Anchorman gets funnier and funnier as well as Talladega Nights. I liked Superbad and even thought Knocked Up wasn't too bad. But I also can't stop watching Nacho Libre whenever it's on.

Oh and I plan on seeing PE.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I didn't expect to like it based on reviews or something. Just caught it on cable one day and I was hooked. I think it's a great comedic performance by Black. His physical comedy in it is really impressive. I also liked his partner. The scene where he baptizes him is so good.

aka every scene. That movie brought me back to almost cartoonish humor.

Add me to the list. LMS was sickening. I hated everything about that movie.
