New Project - Preparation for Assembly

Progress on the new project -- Slow going, but next week will be fun
Installing the handle. The steel bar in the first picture is used to keep the top of the bag straight when using the top handle. All edges of the bar have to be sanded down and rounded off to keep it from wearing through or puncturing the leather over time. Afterwards, there is a small amount of padding added before the lining is installed so that it doesn't show through as predominately.
