Well I am going to redesign my closet, and I am looking for some ideas. So post up your interesting closets!

Note: I would start with a picture of my closet, but its a college dorm room and therefore doesn't even have a door

Doesn't matter how bad yours is you can't start the thread without posting it. I think there is already a thread on this somewhere but if not I'll post mine sometime tomorrow.

Here's mine. I have two closets, about 6 feet from each other on the same wall. I store non-seasonal stuff in a large storage closet upstairs to preserve room. Shoes that I wear less frequently stay in their boxes on the top shelf.

Shirts are bottom tier of one closet:

Trousers are top tier of the same closet:

I keep wool ties in this closet, and belts are on two sliding racks that pull out from the center cabinets (which hold socks). I only keep dress shoes in the closet, and keep all of my casual shoes in the garage in another closet.

Sport coats and suits (seasonal) on the other side, with jeans/corduroy/khakis on shelves that are just below the suits:

Pocket squares kept in the drawers, along with firearms and documents. Ties are on sliding bars that pull out from the center console.

^ Great closet. Makes me feel jealousy. Mine is six feet wide. One regular three-foot door on the right end. One hanging bar, shelf above. Space is pretty limited

Maybe, but there are two alternatives,

1) less clothes

2) build a fugly addition to my house to make a larger closet

Cramped works for me..

If you think that's cramped, you would think that mine looks like a Chinese beach. No such thing as the luxury of 1" between my shirts or 3" between my trousers...

He just sent me a picture of his drive-in closet for your perusal. Shoes get the 2nd and 3rd floors
