What color jacket will go with navy pants? I have spent a lot of time browsing wayrn pics and have found none. Is this just a combination that won't work?

The reason I ask- I am getting.a mtm navy cashmere flannel blazer. I may just upgrade and get the matching pants since it won't be that much more. Thanks.

These are not great quality, but I'm wearing navy pants in this picture. The jacket is a brown houndstooth with a subtle blue windowpane.

I don't have pics and have already changed out of it, but wore a black and gray herringbone sportcoat with navy gabs today and think it worked pretty well. Also, I'd think anything in brown, from stone to khaki to camel to chocolate would work. Basically, all the colors that would go with a navy blazer would go with navy trousers IMO.

+! I, too, do not have pics but I have a black and grey windowpane odd jacket that looks great with my navy slacks.

Not sure if it works or not; since that's in the eye of the beholder, but I wore navy trousers with this Etro sportcoat:

I wondered about this, too. In worsted navy trous kinda look like they've been orphaned. I think they are better in heavier materials like cord or flannel.

I find navy trousers to be pretty versatile, IMO. Man cannot live on charcoal and gray alone.

gnatty your outfit looks fine but you're quite a bit stouter than Jonny Rotten was in your avatar. It's incongruous to me when people fail to resemble their avatars for some reason.

Indeed. Navy flannels are great and the only odd navy trousers I wear.
